A vineyard in Italy, with the hills beyond

Twenty regions, one counter

Concetto

Twenty regions of Italy, meeting the sea and soil of Japan.

L'alba is a counter Italian restaurant that expresses the regional cuisine of Italy through select Japanese ingredients.

From north to south, Italy holds a distinct food culture in every region. Following those memories of place, we build the menu with the seasons.

We use fish delivered from the Goto Islands, Amakusa black Wagyu and other Japanese ingredients — and, mindful of where each comes from, always compose them as Italian cuisine.

On the name — L'alba

The day begins at first light. The sea catches the sun, the market stirs, and the first pots are set on the stove. L'alba — Italian for "the dawn" — carries that quiet beginning; we hope each plate holds a little of it.
